London - Countess Spencer is trying "for a second bite of the cherry" in trying to sue for £1.6 million her former solicitors who handled her affairs before her bitter divorce from Earl Spencer, it was alleged in the High Court yesterday.

The Family Law Consortium, who did not handle the South African hearing when a £1.8 million settlement was reached last December, say her attempts to sue them for negligence was an abuse of process of the courts and should be thrown out.
