Mayo TD Ms Beverley Cooper-Flynn has been readmitted to the Fianna Fail Parliamentary Party nine months after her expulsion for breaking ranks with the Government in a Dail vote.
Last February, Ms Cooper-Flynn voted against a Government motion which called on her father, Mr Padraig Flynn, to clarify his position about an alleged £50,000 donation he received from property developer Mr Tom Gilmartin in 1989.
At a meeting of the Fianna Fail parliamentary yesterday the Government Chief Whip, Mr Seamus Brennan, proposed the motion supporting Ms Cooper-Flynn's return to the party fold. The motion, which was seconded by the Kildare South TD, Mr Sean Power, was carried unanimously.
