Gardaí have named a woman who died in a Co Cork road collision yesterday.

Gardaí have named a woman who died in a Co Cork road collision yesterday.

Sister Mairead Murphy (80) from Kilkenny died when her car and a lorry crashed at approximately 15.20pm at Clounties, on the Dunmanway to Bantry Road.

Sr Murphy was pronounced dead at the scene. The male driver of the lorry was taken to Cork University Hospital with minor injuries, while his passenger was uninjured.
