Brussels - Liege, the Belgian city that was home to two of the victims of the alleged child-killer and convicted paedophile, Marc Dutroux, was plunged into a state of shock yesterday after another missing child was found dead.

The body of David Geebelen, a 10-year-old who disappeared on Wednesday after going out on his bicycle to meet friends, was discovered, his throat cut, in the undergrowth of a public park near his home.

Dutroux is awaiting trial for the alleged killing of four girls and an accomplice and the abduction and abuse of two other girls. The bodies of Julie Lejeune and Melissa Russo were discovered at one of Dutroux's houses in August 1996.
