Worcester - Photographs which a vicar plans to exhibit at Worcester Cathedral were yesterday condemned by leading members of the city's council. The pictures, taken by the Rev Peter Holzapfel, include a doll being crucified, an arm nailed to a cross by a heroin-filled syringe and Jesus on a crucifix flanked by two real pigs' heads.

Church leaders have backed the vicar's exhibition, but the Tory leader on the council, Mr Robert Rowden, said: "This collection is totally offensive and actually sick."
