The Minister for State for Education, Mr Willie O'Dea, has announced the removal of the cap on the numbers of lone parents, people with disabilities and dependent spouses able to participate in the vocational training opportunities scheme.

The successful scheme provides second-chance education to unemployed people over 21. Until now these categories could not occupy more than 10 per cent of places on it.
