London - People living within half a mile of the coast in north and west Wales have a much higher chance of getting cancer than those inland, according to new research.

The findings are being used by anti-nuclear campaigners as part of their case for claiming damages and demanding an end to radiactive discharges into the Irish Sea from the Sellafield nuclear plant in Cumbria.
