The Irish Cancer Society's 10th annual Daffodil Day takes place on Friday, March 21st.
Most of the money raised will go towards employing specialist nurses, who are trained to care for patients with advanced cancer. There are 38 such nurses working in 25 counties.
Daffodil Day was launched yesterday by Mr Brian O'Shea, the Minister of State at the Department of Health.
