Call for witnesses to fatal accident

Gardai are appealing for witnesses to a fatal road traffic accident which occurred in Co Westmeath on Friday. Ms Kate Ann Elliot (73), married, from Glasson, Athlone, was killed at approximately 4 p.m. when the car she was driving collided with another car between Mullingar and Ballymahon. The accident happened near Farthingstown, Ratconrath. The driver and three passengers in the other car were not seriously injured.
