The Church of Ireland press officer, Ms Liz Gibson Harries, is to take early retirement from the post, with effect from January 31st next.
In a brief message to colleagues, she thanked them for "your help and friendship over the 13 years that I have been press officer. It has been a privilege to work with so many wonderful people over the years . . ."
It is understood Ms Harries may take up a post next year with an Anglican diocese in England.
