New York - A free trade deal between the United States and the European Union would bring profits in the order of $350 billion to the two sides of the Atlantic, the British Chancellor, Mr Gordon Brown, said yesterday.

A transatlantic marketplace, Mr Brown said at a meeting with business leaders, would also reverse the trend in the US and Europe of putting a higher priority on trade deals with other nations.
