A van driver was killed and 12 people suffered minor injuries in a train crash in Lincolnshire, England, last night.
Investigators said it appears a van veered onto tracks and was hit by an oncoming train.
The investigation is looking at how the van crashed through a wall near Nocton in Lincolnshire - plunging 20 feet onto a railway. The van was then hit by a passenger train.
Lincolnshire police say the driver of the Mercedes van, which was virtually cut in two by the force of the impact, was the only person killed.
About 30 of the 50 passengers travelling on the 15.42 Central Trains service from Birmingham to Sleaford were described as "walking wounded". Twelve needed hospital treatment.
The accident happened a year to the day since 10 people were killed in the Selby crash when a Land Rover ended up on the East Coast mainline.
