Mr Imiela, of Ashford, Kent, is charged with nine attacks on women and girls aged 10 to 52 between November last year and October 25th this year.
He was arrested earlier this month in the "trophy rapist" case. The attacker - dubbed the "trophy rapist" because he allegedly took souvenir clothing items from some victims - struck at locations in and around London, often grabbing his victims from behind at knifepoint, police said.
The attacks prompted an intensive police manhunt involving more than 100 officers from five forces in the London area in the biggest manhunt of its kind since the "Yorkshire Ripper" case 20 years ago.
