A 2-year-old boy has died after he was hit by a van in Dublin yesterday evening.
The boy was struck by the vehicle at approximately 5.30pm on Deansrath Avenue, Clondalkin.
He was pronounced dead in an ambulance while being taken to The National Children's Hospital,Tallaght.
The road is closed at present pending a forensic collision investigation. Earlier yesterday, a man aged in his
70s was fatally injured when the car he was driving was in collision with a truck in Co Kerry.
The collision happened on the N21 between Castleisland and Abbeyfeale at 2.45pm. The driver of the truck received minor injuries and was taken to Tralee General Hospital.
