Simon Whelahan helped himself to a total of 1-8 as Birr strolled to an 11 point victory over Castletown in this afternoon’s Leinster Club Hurling final replay.
Having missed the drawn game a fortnight ago, where his team were guilty of throwing away opportunities in front of goal, Whelahan returned to lead the Offaly champions to a comfortable win and delivered Birr’s fifth Leinster title.
