Bank of Ireland appoints two new directors

Bank of Ireland today announced two new appointments to its board of directors - known as the court.

Bank of Ireland today announced two new appointments to its board of directors - known as the court.

Mrs Caroline Marland is a former managing director of Guardian Newspapers and a member of the main board of directors of the Institute of Directors and the Newspaper Panel of the Competition Commission in Britain.

Mr Thomas Moran is president and chief executive of Mutual of America, a life insurance company in the United States. He is also a member of the Taoiseach's Economic Advisory Board and the boards of the Irish Chamber of Commerce in the United States and the Ireland-US Council for Commerce.

Mrs Marland and Mr Moran will take up their appointments on April 5th, Bank of Ireland said in a statement.
