Ballymun water cuts condemned

Ballymun residents have accused Dublin Corporation of causing excessive hardship by cutting the water supply to flats in the estate until further notice. The water supply to hundreds of homes was cut at 11 a.m. yesterday for maintenance work which will continue today. Residents have not been told when the supply will be restored. Ms Helen Fields, a support worker with Ballymun Partnership, said the unavailability of water for the elderly and mothers with babies was a health risk.
