Bail for man on charge of murder

A man charged with the murder of a young woman in Co Galway has been granted bail by the High Court

A man charged with the murder of a young woman in Co Galway has been granted bail by the High Court. Mr John McDonagh (25), a single man, of The Demesne, Carraroe, Co Galway, is charged with the murder of Ms Siobhan Hynes (17), at Keeraunbeg, Carraroe, on December 7th.

Yesterday, Mr McDonagh was freed on bail on condition that he reside full-time at a specified address in Dublin and report daily to Kevin Street Garda station. Mr Justice Kinlen said he was not to go to Galway, except for court appearances, or to Clare, Mayo and Westmeath.
