London - British police said yesterday they had extended police bail for two men arrested earlier this week in connection with the unsolved 1993 racist murder of black teenager Stephen Lawrence. The stabbing of Lawrence (18) at a south London bus stop by a group of white youths sparked a public outcry when police failed to catch and prosecute the killers. The Metropolitan Police have been accused of institutional racism for bungling its inquiry.
