A Sligo student, who carried out research on carbohydrates and heart disease at a Dublin hospital, has won this year's Flora Nutrition award for postgraduate studies. Ms Cara Prior (22) took the £6,000 prize by achieving the highest mark in the Trinity College/Dublin Institute of Technology degree course in Human Nutrition and Dietetics.
