The RUC in Armagh has confirmed it is investigating an attack last Saturday evening by Orange Order bandsmen in Portadown on an under-14 hurling team's minibus.

The Monaghan Harps team bus had pulled in for a meal when the crowd of bandsmen emerged from a nearby bar. They started banging on the Southern-registered bus and shouting abuse at the terrified youngsters. A bottle was also thrown at the coach.

A police spokesman said no one was injured in the incident, but some of the young players were badly shaken.
