Trivandrum - At least 74 people have been killed in floods and landslides caused by heavy rains in eastern and southern India over the past few weeks, officials said yesterday. They said 66 people have been killed in the southern state of Kerala alone in India's monsoon season, which began in June.
Meanwhile in China, 23 people were killed and 17 others were missing after torrential rain, the official Xinhua news agency reported yesterday.
