British army bomb disposal experts have defused two pipe bombs in Derry. The two devices were found within 24 hours of each other in the Shearwater Way area of the Waterside.

On Saturday, a device was made safe behind a Catholic-owned home in the area. Fourteen houses had to be evacuated. Yesterday a number of people had to be moved from their homes on the Clooney estate while technical officers defused a second device.
