Armed robbery at Bray post office

Four men armed with a gun and a lump-hammer held up Bray post office this morning.

Four men armed with a gun and a lump-hammer held up Bray post office this morning.

The robbery took place at around 10.20am. An undisclosed sum of money was taken.

The raiders made their escape in a car in the direction of Dublin. The car, a silver Peugeot 407, was later found abandoned at Sutton Villas off the Lower Dargle Road in Bray. 

No shots were fired and there are no reports of any injuries. 

Gardai are appealing to anyone with any information in relation to the robbery or who may have seen the car being abandoned to contact them on 01-6665300 or 1-800-666-111.
