Loyalists in the upper Ardoyne area of north Belfast have agreed to attend talks aimed at ending the dispute over Catholic schoolchildren attending the Holy Cross Primary School.

The loyalists say they will appoint two people to represent them at the talks.

The Concerned Residents of Upper Ardoyne group announced their decision after the Stormont Executive drew up proposals in relation to dealing housing, health and sectarianism.

The Northern Secretary, Dr John Reid, has had a series of meetings about these issues with local representatives.
