Gardaí have appealed for people to be more vigilant after the discovery of the body of a man who may have been dead for several weeks at his home in Co Mayo. Gardaí believe he may have died during mid to late April or early May.
“It can be a very thin line between being intrusive and respecting people’s wish to remain private,” said a Garda spokesman.
The funeral takes place today of PJ Kelly (64) from Shammer, Kilkelly, close to Knock airport. His body was discovered last week after concerns mounted he had not been seen for some time. He lived alone.
