London - Former Paymaster General Geoffrey Robinson yesterday apologised after an MPs' watchdog recommended his suspension from the Commons for three weeks for misleading the parliamentary standards commissioner, Ms Elizabeth Filkin. The Committee on Standards and Privileges called for the punishment after Mr Robinson failed to prove he had not received £200,000 from tycoon the late Robert Maxwell.
