A family home has been targeted in an overnight pipe bomb attack in Antrim.

A family home has been targeted in an overnight pipe bomb attack in Antrim.

The family escaped injury when a device was pushed through the letter box of their house in the Stiles Farm area around 2.30am.

The hallway of the property was damaged in the attack. The occupants were evacuated while Army bomb disposal officers dealt with the device.

Police said a motive for the attack has not yet been established.
