Leicester City's club record signing, Ade Akinbiyi, today pledged his future to the Premiership strugglers.

He rejected the chance to move back to Wolves on loan and is happy to stay with City as long as he remains part of manager Dave Bassett's plans.

The 27-year-old striker has struggled to find his form in the early part of the season and scored his first Premiership goal of the campaign in the game with Sunderland nine days ago.

Akinbiyi has a deep affection for Wolves, who wanted him to boost their Division One promotion push.
