London - An Indian man who miraculously survived as a stowaway in the frozen undercarriage of a jumbo jet flying from Delhi to London is unlikely to be allowed to stay in Britain. Mr Pardeep Saini (23) endured temperatures as low as - 60 C during the flight last October. His younger brother Vijay froze to death, his body falling to the ground as the jet's wheel were lowered for landing.

The junior Interior Minister, Mr Mike O'Brien, said he had received a report from an immigration adjudicator saying Mr Saini does not qualify for political asylum. - (Reuter)
