Acquisitor wins Baltimore board battle

Bermuda-based investment company Acquisitor Holdings has won the boardroom battle for control of Baltimore Technologies.

Bermuda-based investment company Acquisitor Holdings has won the boardroom battle for control of Baltimore Technologies.

The results of the motions proposed at yesterday's EGM were all in favour of Acquisitor and as a result none of the existing board was reappointed.

Mr Bijan Khezri, Mr Andrew Hunt, Mr Alfredo Goyanes, Mr Denis Kelly and Mr John Uttley lost their positions and were replaced by a new board of Mr David Buchler, Mr George Wardale, Mr Duncan Soukup, Mr Tim Lovell and Mr Robin Williams.

Mr David Weaver, Mr Richard Eyre and Mr James Huston had already resigned as directors of the Company on June 3rd, 2004, as already announced.

Mr Duncan Soukup, Acquisitor's deputy chairman, said he was "delighted" that the position at Baltimore has now been clarified and that the company can now concentrate on enhancing shareholder value.
