A £6.1 million arts and music grant for the State's 3,200 primary schools has been introduced by the Minister for Education and Science, Dr Michael Woods.
The grant, which works out at £13 per pupil, will enable schools to purchase equipment and materials, as well as starting activities to enable children to participate in visual arts, music, drama, dance and literature.
