A youth who fractured his spine when he fell from a rope attached to a tree was awarded €470,000 compensation yesterday.
Jonathan Taggart from Comber, Co Down, is now confined to a wheelchair. He was 14 when the accident happened in 1995 on ground owned by Ards Borough Council, the defendants in the action which was settled in the Belfast High Court.
