Two men appeared in court yesterday on charges relating to a bomb hoax in Limerick two months ago. Before Limerick District Court were Mr Martin Wallace (18), Canon Breen Park, Thomondgate and Mr Raymond McInerney (20), Cross Roads, Thomondgate. A warrant was issued for the arrest of Mr Paul McNamara (19), Park View House, Sexton Street North when he failed to appear in court on the same charges.

Insp John Murphy, prosecuting, said a device was left at Cruises Street on July 15th and gardai were called from a public telephone box. The bomb disposal unit in Cork was called to the scene. The three men were charged with making a false report to gardai. Mr Wallace and Mr McInerney were remanded on bail for a week.
