Moscow - At least 23 people were killed and about 40 injured yesterday when a stand in a sports complex collapsed at the Russian free-style wrestling championships in the southern town of Nalchik, the Interfax news agency reported.
Rescue work was continuing through the afternoon after the stand collapsed yesterday morning, Interfax said, citing the emergency situations ministry.
