23 killed in bus, truck collision

Cairo - Twenty-three people died and 25 others were injured yesterday when a bus collided with a truck at a highway intersection south of Cairo, littering the scene with wreckage and bodies. Police said many of the injured were in a serious condition when the bus, which was carrying workers home after their night shift at a cement factory, smashed into a truck on the main road heading to the Red Sea.
