2 die in separate road accidents

A 39-year-old Spanish man was killed when the van he was driving was involved in a head-on collision with a car at 11 p.m

A 39-year-old Spanish man was killed when the van he was driving was involved in a head-on collision with a car at 11 p.m. yesterday on the inner relief road between the Ballymacscanlon roundabout and Dundalk race course.

The driver of the car suffered minor injuries.

Earlier a 71-year-old cyclist died after a collision with a vehicle at Cloghers, Tralee, Co Kerry.

He was named as Mr Thomas Dowling, from Cloghers.
