Two men appeared in Portlaoise District Court yesterday charged with possession of cannabis resin with a street value of £200,000. A Garda spokesman said they were remanded in custody for a week. Both men are in their 20s and have addresses in Cork.
Gardai seized the drugs from a car on the Portlaoise bypass in the early hours of yesterday.
