Sarajevo - A forensic team has uncovered 120 bodies in eastern Bosnia, believed to be Muslim civilians killed by Serb forces during the Bosnian war, an official said yesterday.

During the past three weeks, remains of 45 bodies were found on the surface, while the rest was exhumed from several graves, Mr Murat Hurtic of the Muslim-led State Commission for Missing Persons, said.

The 45 are believed to have been trying to escape Srebrenica after Serbs overran the UN-proclaimed safe zone. Over 7,000 Muslims are missing and believed to have been executed by Serb forces following the fall of Srebrenica.
