The first tranche of EU co-financed urban and village renewal grants for local authorities, amounting to £11.85 million (#15 million) were announced yesterday.
It includes £3.7 million for urban regeneration initiatives in the cities, £7 million for urban and village improvements throughout the State, £850,000 for the conservation of public buildings and £300,000 for the Dublin Docklands area.
