A pre-war railway poster of cottages in Connemara by Paul Henry was sold for £1,150, more than double its estimated sale price, at Christie's in London yesterday. The poster was one of a series advertising holidays in Ireland to British travellers. It was displayed by the London, Midland and Scottish Railway (LMS) in the 1920s.

The poster was sold unsigned and unframed. It was one of 10 lots of Irish posters devoted to travel, which made a total of £9,520.
