Irish Ferries is giving motorists a free trip to Britain if buy a return ticket to France from June to August. The offer applies to a car plus two passengers departing from Dublin and Rosslare, and is available from September until the end of August 2013.

Catch: The offer applies to a car with two passengers only and one of the adults must have travelled on the original booking to France. A supplement of €120 return per car applies to peak dates.

* The Pembroke Hotel on Patrick Street in Kilkenny is giving a €100 voucher for Rudolf Heltzel (see heltzel.ie) hand-crafted jewellery to anyone who books their Valentine's package from February 10th to 18th. The package includes a candle-lit rose-petal bath, breakfast in bed, room upgrade, sparkling wine and chocolates, and a three-course candle-lit dinner. It costs from €99 per person.
