It’s been a busy year for dancer Philip Connaughton: he moved home in February after 14 years with dance companies in Barcelona and became artist in residence in the Axis arts centre, Ballymun, the neighbourhood in which he grew up. And he’s one of four dancers performing in the world premiere of US choreographer/dancer Kyle Abraham’s Outsider, which runs at the Project theatre, Dublin, on December 11th-15th.
Connaughton has been spreading the word about contemporary dance since he came home, visiting schools and performing in theatres around the country. Outsider will be performed by Connaughton with Liv O'Donoghue, Ryan O'Neill and Rebecca Reilly in the Project Arts Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin. It previews on December 10th. See projectartscentre.ie
