Productive courses

Urban farming is all the rage, with hen houses popping up in back gardens and the slow dawning that there’s free food to be had if you only know how to forage for it.

A new series of one-day hands-on courses at Greenan Farm Museums and Maze near Rathdrum, Co Wicklow, sounds ideal for budding producers interested in learning a useful skill. Beginners’ beekeeping, making willow baskets, keeping chickens, and how to make herbal remedies are some of the courses on offer.
