The kids are all right in LA pads

NINETEEN-YEAR-OLD Josh Hutcherson of The Hunger Games has bought a Hollywood Hills home rich in Tinseltown history

NINETEEN-YEAR-OLD Josh Hutcherson of The Hunger Games has bought a Hollywood Hills home rich in Tinseltown history. It was previously the abode of not one but two Hollywood heavyweights: Heath Ledger and Ellen DeGeneres.

With contracts inked out for the second and third instalments of The Hunger Games, the actor, whose previous roles include Bridge to Terabithia, Journey to the Centre of the Earth and The Kids are All Right, has decided to invest in an LA property.

The two-bedroom, two-bathroom, mid-century modern house measures 1,861 sq ft and has an additional 2,000 sq ft of outdoor terraces including one with a movie projector and lounge area, according to Zillow.com.

The site says: “Listing records show that Ledger purchased the property from DeGeneres in August 2005 for $2,100,021 (€1.7m). He and his then girlfriend, Michelle Williams, lived there until their split in 2007. After Ledger’s death in Manhattan in January 2008, the Hollywood Hills home was put on the market and sold that July for $2.5 million (€2m).”
