Baltinglass: from €230,000

The final phase of Section 23 apartments at Baltinglass, Co Wicklow, launches this weekend with Hooke & MacDonald and Remax/Simon Murphy.

Fifteen apartments are for sale at The Mill, an attractive development of 54 homes on the River Slaney with views over the weir and millrace. Cleary Doyle is the developer and the architects are Newenham Mulligan & Associates.

One-bedroom apartments start at €230,000 for 45-56sq m (480-600sq ft) of space. Two-beds of 61sq m (655sq ft) cost from €295,000. Two-beds with a private waterfront space, at 70sq m (750sq ft), start at €310,000. Prices include parking.

All apartments in this phase will be ready for occupation in time for the current tax year. Tax relief at 98 per cent of the price is an added incentive.

Under Section 23, investors can set 98 per cent of the price against all rental income in the Republic. Owner-occupiers can claim against all income, including PAYE.
