With another summer season in prospect, estate agents have begun marketing the latest development of holiday houses at Courtown, Co Wexford. Like other schemes in the seaside resort, the two, three and four bedroom houses in the Beachside scheme are expected to appeal mainly to investors because of the valuable tax breaks they carry.

The Wexford-based house builders, William Neville and Sons, plans to develop 125 houses in cul-de-sac formations at Riverchapel, about half a mile from Courtown.

A showhouse is to open on Saturday and Sunday next when joint agents Sherry FitzGerald and Kehoe and Associates take bookings for 15 houses which will be ready for occupation long before the long summer evenings arrive. Prices start at £75,000 for two-bedroom dormer-style houses with 750 sq ft. There will also be a three-bedroom unit with 950 sq ft which will cost from £80,000 and for families needing even more space there will be four-bedroom detached houses with 1,140 to 1,180 sq ft, priced from £98,000 to £110,00
