Auburn Lodge is a development of 31 good-sized apartments located on Auburn Road off Church View Road in Killiney, Co Dublin.

The block of apartments is being built on a greenfield site directly behind Johnstown Parish Church and adjacent to Our Lady of Good Council National School.

An official launch is planned for late 2008 from show apartments, but in advance of that 10 apartments are for sale off-plans through Savills HOK, which will be taking bookings at its offices on Molesworth Street.

Prices start at €395,000 for one-bedroom apartments of 48sq m (520sq ft). Two-bedroom units have 76-87sq m (821-934sq ft) of living space and are priced from €475,000.

Large three-bed penthouses with around 92sq m (1,000sq ft) will be for sale later this year. Prices have not yet been confirmed.

The scheme is likely to appeal to the trade-down market as well as young buyers keen to get a foothold in the area they grew up in.

Developer McGinley Construction promises a high-end fit-out with downlighters in livingroom, kitchen, bathroom and hallways, and thermostatically-controlled gas central heating. Kitchens and bathrooms will have good quality tiling and there will be heated towel rails in the bathrooms.

Construction is in progress on site and the first buyers are expected to move in at Auburn Lodge in late 2008 or early 2009, according to the selling agent.

McGinley Construction is working on Alexandra Place in East Wall, Dublin 3. It has also undertaken other residential schemes in Donegal.
