IS THIS the bargain of the week? It might be if you like Courtown, the Co Wexford seaside town that grew like Topsy in the boom, thanks to tax breaks on holiday homes.
Now that the tide has gone out on this kind of development, a number of schemes are stranded with receivers, like this one. Called Ocean Point, it sits at the top of the town with a view of the sea from many of the 37 apartments.
One-beds are now priced at €59,950; two-beds cost €75,000; and three- beds are €80,000. Not all are ready to move into, with some completion work needed on the development, according to sales agent Gemma Lanigan of Douglas Newman Good New Homes.
