Agents Lambert Smith Hampton are understood to be close to finalising the sale of the Curzon Cinema, the landmark 1930s cinema on the Ormeau Road in south Belfast. The cinema, on a site of 0.6 acres, has attracted considerable interest since going on the market. The upper Ormeau Road location is highly sought after for apartment and retail/leisure development. The agents are quoting £2 million sterling for the property. Planning has been sought for a mixed residential/apartment scheme with five retail units, 36 apartments and 42 parking spaces.
